The AfricaAmericaExchange (AAX) was the first project of YNW, started in Fall 2004 linking six schools each in the USA and Burundi, Central Africa.
The AfricaAmericaExchange creates interculutral partnerships linking secondary schools in Burundi and Washington State through school presentations, student and teacher conferences, as well as letter and email communication between students. Washington State students engage in fund-raising to support African their partner school as well as provide funds to rebuild homes for refugees in Burundi.
